Figma Review

Figma replaced Sketch for me around 2020, and these days, I have it up and running on my Mac pretty much constantly. I use it for my work, obviously, designing everything from logos to websites with 50+ pages and hundreds of components. It’s easy to take its collaborative nature for granted these days, but real-time collaboration was groundbreaking when Figma was first released (and has since been added to Sketch as well). Since I work remotely with a large team of designers, developers and project leads, I can’t imagine doing my job without it.

I use it for my personal projects as well, of course. This site is designed in Figma, as is every free WordPress theme I’ve built in the past five years. I’ve also used it to design blueprints for furniture, sketch out house renovations, prepare building permits, desk, shelf and pegboard layouts, create invoices, design wallpapers, and so much more. Figma is my design swiss army knife.
