I have a Twelve South HiRise 3 Deluxe sitting on the bedroom table, and despite it having room for both my phone, my AirPods Pro, and my Apple Watch, the charging stand is pretty discrete thanks to it’s small footprint – 15.9 x 8.6 cm – and the fact that you charge all three devices in one orderly row, making it look less cluttered. Rubber feet help keep the stand locked in place when you’re fumbling around for your phone in the morning.
The raised MagSafe charger makes it well suited for StandBy mode, which shows up when your iPhone is charging in landscape orientation. The iPhone MagSafe charger can charge up to 15 W, the wireless AirPods charger at the back up to 5 W, and the Apple Watch charger at the front supports fast charging. At least on paper.
Unfortunately, the HiRise 3 Deluxe doesn’t seem to like my Apple Watch Ultra 2 much. The charging status appears on the watch when it’s connected to the Apple Watch charger on the stand, but the watch just sits there until it runs out of battery. It worked fine with my Series 6, and the Apple website says it should be compatible with the Ultra 2, so it might be an issue specific to my unit. It’s a shame, because other than that, it’s a great charging stand.
