Thermarest NeoAir XTherm NXT Max Review

The Thermarest NeoAir XTherm NXT Max is a real tank of a sleeping pad, and my go-to for hiking in the wintertime. I’ve used it down to -30 degrees celsius without feeling the ground chill, and find it plenty reliable both by reputation and from my own experiences with it. It’s not especially comfortable when you fill it all the way, but I’m yet to find an inflatable sleeping pad that is. Most of the time, I fill it up to about three quarters capacity, which allows my back and hips to sink down a little bit without getting too close to the ground. My model weighs 650 grams on my scale, with the pump sack, and packs fairly small.
