Reintroducing Kong, A Swedish Gaming Site About Nintendo

I haven't been writing about games for the past two years. That's way too long. It's time to get back to it.

Most of my free time since early August has been spent on Twenty Twenty, the new default theme for WordPress, which will be included in WordPress 5.3 in November. I’ve meant to write a post about it here, but haven’t gotten to it yet. To summarize: it’s been exciting, stressful, and a lot of fun. But more on that later.

In between time spent on Twenty Twenty, I’ve managed to squeeze in a new project that I’m doing together with my friends TDH, Rickard och Malin. That project is Kong. Kong is a well-known Swedish video game site that Thord ran in the early 2000s, and a couple of weeks ago, he relaunched it with a new focus on everything Nintendo. Nintendo have been on fire lately, with the Switch being the single most exciting piece of gaming hardware in years. I’ve been looking for excuses to buy more games on mine. This is a perfect one.

I’ve also missed writing about games, but there hasn’t been much time for it on Kong so far. My contributions up to this point have mostly been limited to design and development. That’s fun as well, of course, but it’s something I’ve spent the majority of my spare time doing the last six months. Getting back into writing will be a nice change of pace. I’m looking forward to it.

If you’re Swedish and interested in Nintendo, I recommend you to check it out. We have a lot of fun stuff planned.
